I know this post is picture overload, but you'll just have to bare with me. How could I take out such cute pictures? Our 4th was filled with family, food, fireworks, staying up late, and playing for hours with siblings and cousins. We went to my parents house and had a campfire with hot dogs and smores- yummy!!! Then we had our very own firework show with my dad and all the kids taking turns lighting the next firework and then the kids played "No bears are out tonight". This is EXACTLY how I remember the 4th of July as a child! I'm so happy to pass on the tradition- it was great fun!

Lagoon!
Erik had a few days off for the 4th of July and since we didn't have any major vacation planned, and we refused to stay home when he was off work- we went to Lagoon! It has seriously been about 10 years since I was there last! I haven't really missed it and it really hasn't changed much, but we had a blast taking the girls! Devri was tall enough to go on almost ALL of the rides (she is 46.5" and you have to be 46" whew!) So Erik & I took turns going on rides with Devri. We even got her on the "loopty loop" aka Colossus after much coaxing and a hefty bribe! We even got lucky enough to sit in the very front! I have never sat in the front and I must say, it was pure awsome-ness! It was a Blast and we were all exhausted at the end of the day!

it's OfFiCiaL!
hAvEn is pOtTy tRaiNed!!! Yea!!! I know she is only 20 months old, but we have been working on this for a while because she showed signs so early that she was ready- she wanted to go and told me "potty" all the time! I never pushed it because she was so young, but I did encourage it! Last week she had a "poopoo" accident in the bathtub and yes- I freaked out a little. I wasn't mad at her- just way grossed out to have to clean that, and all the while Haven was looking at me like "what the heck". So the next day she brought some "Melmos" to me- aka Elmo panties. I put them on her and the rest is history- she has been going potty ever since- even in the store, stays dry all night, the whole she-bang! I am So very happy to once again live diaper free! Yipee!

Mother's Day
Mother's Day is always a favorite for me! Getting gifts, Being waited on all day and told how much you are loved and appreciated- what could be better than that? Being a mom is the greatest thing that could have ever happend to me! I absolutely adore my girls. They bring so much more joy and meaning to my life that could never be complete without them! This year we woke up to a delicious breakfast of French Toast with fresh strawberries and REAL whipped cream- YUM! Then the girls and Erik planted beautiful flowers for me, then we headed north to visit the other Mom's. We had Pizza and ice cream at Papa's house (prepared by the boys of course). And finally we had more dessert at Erik's Mom's. Erik and I both have wonderful Mom's who made us who we are today! Mom's are great!
Devri made me a flower for my fridge- so cute!

hApPy sT. pAtTy's daY!
I Love Holidays! Any little excuse to celebrate & do something fun and out of the ordinary. This year, Devri is really into leprechans and she was determined to catch one so she could get a wish. She didn't end up catching him- which by the way she was going to wish for our back yard to be finished and Haven to be potty trained, so I was really bummed she didn't catch him too! But in her efforts to catch the little guy, he did play a few tricks on her: He moved some furniture around and turned our milk green! He did leave behind some of his lucky charms which we ate for breakfast in hopes of becoming lucky! We later made some rainbow cookies which we took to a St. Patty's Day Picnic and hunted for 4-leaf clovers. Although we never did catch a leprechan or find a 4-leaf clover, I feel very lucky to have spent such a wonderful fun day with the 2 best girls ever!
