Erik & I spent last week on vacation in Nashville. It was great to get away! Here are a few pics from our trip.
Devri made the rounds while we were gone. She stayed with my sisters Lacee & Haley and then with Grandma. They all took great care of her! It was a lot harder to leave her than I thought it would be though! The first night we called her, she cried the entire time & begged me to come home. That was the worst of it, she was really good for everyone while we were gone. I'm not sure if I'll ever leave her again though, it was really hard!!!
The business part of our trip included "playing" at the Komatsu demo site & touring their manufacturing facility. Erik was in heaven! We were able to demo a lot of their new equipment, mostly because they wanted us to buy some more! It was actually really fun & yes, even I operated some heavy equipment.
We visited the Chickamauga battle field, which was part of the Civil War. It was really neat to see & learn more about our country's history.
We went to the Tennessee aquarium, which was Ginormous! We got to pet sharks & sting rays. It was a lot of fun, I wished Devri could have been there for that part though. She would have loved it!
Here we are in front of the Grand Ole Opry House. We went to the Grand Ole Opry the night before. It was fun, but we were bummed because we just missed Carrie Underwood, Dirks Bently, & Vince Gill. They played the night we came home.
This is the Opryland Resort we stayed in. This is the Inside! It's an amazing hotel. You could spend an entire vacation here alone! We had a ton of fun, it was great to have a break, but it's also great to be home!!!

How fun is that! It looks like a really fun vacation! You sure did alot of exciting stuff! Petting Sharks....scary! But Cool! I am glad Devri did okay with everyone, that makes it easier to leave them home sometimes!
Looks like fun! I think it's so worth it to get away without kids every once in a while. You guys did some cool stuff.
Glad you guys had fun. Sorry it was so hard for you to be away from Devri. I used to work for a civil contractor and I loved playing on all of the equipment so I can imagine how fun it was.
Looks like you guys had a good trip. I love the South-it has so much to offer. We loved having Devri stay with us. She is welcome anytime!
You will leave her again I promise the more kids you get the easier it is to leave! Looks like you had Fun.
Fun trip! I'm not so sure I could leave Jack, despite everyones advice, I know all I will do is think about him if I leave him home.
I am really jealous! I would love to go on a vacation with just me and Jon, California was fun, but not very relaxing! That looks like so much fun!
It was hard to leave Kennedy for me too but after the twins I didn't mind it so much. I have to get away every once and awhile to keep my sanity. Looks like a fun trip.
Ditto to all the comments, especially to Lacee and Nicoles. Glad you had fun. How is the pregnacy going? I remember being up at girls camp with us both pregnant - fun times:)
Hey Spencer stayed in that hotel last October. He went by himself though (was there instead of here for Roman's first Halloween) so he didn't really like Nashville.
